Katie: Are you craving something sweet, but don’t have much time or energy to bake something? Are you looking for something yummy, but still considerably healthy? Then, this “ice cream” is for you! This is an incredibly simple, yet delicious treat that I discovered here on The Kitchn. You just slice 1-3 ripe bananas, freeze them for 1-2 hours on a plate covered with wax paper, and then blend them in a food processor or blender until you get a creamy mixture. You can eat it plain, or add a little bit of agave syrup, honey, peanut butter, Nutella, or basically anything else to sweeten it up a little or add other flavors. Enjoy!

I had this ice-cream with Nutella a couple of times while we were in Denmark and it tasted really good. The next flavors I am going to try with it:
peppermint-banana, sweet potato-banana, marzipan-banana, and burger-banana – YUM!
Who would ever guess that you could make ice cream out of one ingredient like bananas. Way to go Katie!
Flori, You’ll have to let us know how your unusual combinations turn out.
I’d like to try this. It seems easy and tasty!
Banana and Nutella sounds like a great combination!
