Whole Chicken, Spicy Asian Slaw and Sweet Potato Chips

Bill: I decided to make a whole chicken in the crock pot for supper.  This was an easy recipe which as advertised created a tender, fall-off-the-bone chicken!  The chicken had a extra kick to it with cayenne pepper and smoked paprika.  Next time I think I’d cut back on the cayenne pepper.  Over all very tasty.

To go along with the meal I made Spicy Asian Slaw from Cooking Light.  I also used the food processor to cut up two sweet potatoes into thin slices for chips.  Jill prepared the sweet potatoes by putting cooling racks on top of cookie sheets.  She used canola oil spray on the cooling racks to make sure the sweet potato chips did not stick when baking them in the oven.  After baking for a while, she used the broiler to make the chips more crispy.  Over all a very good meal with left over chicken and slaw to have for one more supper!
